Weekly Beef Export Sales 02/12 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 278,400 pieces for 2026 were down 29 percent
from the previous week and 31 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were primarily for China (169,600 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 8,000 pieces), South Korea (38,400 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 1,100 pieces), Mexico (31,200 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 6,400 pieces), Thailand (21,500 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 600 pieces), and Turkey (8,300 whole cattle hides).
Total net sales reductions of 200 kip skins were for Germany. Exports of
349,400 whole cattle hides were down 9 percent from the previous week and
1 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily
to China (229,200 pieces), South Korea (41,600 pieces), Mexico (33,800
pieces), Thailand (24,900 pieces), and Brazil (7,300 pieces). Exports of
1,200 kip skins were to Germany.
Net sales of 155,900 wet blues for 2026 were down noticeably from the
previous week, but up 17 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
primarily for Italy (46,200 unsplit, including decreases of 24,200
unsplit), Vietnam (42,100 unsplit, including 1,100 unsplit switched from
China), Brazil (36,500 unsplit), China (28,900 unsplit), and India (1,700
unsplit), were offset by reductions for Hong Kong (200 unsplit) and the
Dominican Republic (100 unsplit). Total net sales of 24,000 unsplit for
2027 were for Italy. Net sales of 3,700 other excluding wet blues were
reported for Mexico (2,000 pounds, including decreases of 400 pieces) and
China (1,700 pounds). Exports of 104,300 wet blues were down 28 percent
from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to Italy (47,600 unsplit), Vietnam (30,500
unsplit), China (10,400 unsplit), Thailand (7,800 unsplit), and Hong Kong
(4,800 unsplit). Exports of 2,200 other excluding wet blues were to
Turkey. No net sales or exports of splits were reported for the week.
Beef: Net sales of 15,700 MT for 2026 were down 21 percent from the
previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for South Korea (7,800 MT, including decreases of 1,000 MT),
Japan (1,900 MT, including decreases of 900 MT), Mexico (1,800 MT,
including decreases of 100 MT), Hong Kong (1,500 MT, including decreases
of 300 MT), and Taiwan (1,300 MT, including decreases of 100 MT). Exports
of 11,700 MT were down 10 percent from the previous week and 12 percent
from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to South
Korea (3,800 MT), Japan (3,700 MT), Mexico (1,100 MT), Taiwan (1,100 MT),
and Hong Kong (800 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 28,600 MT for 2026 were down 18 percent from the
previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-year average. Increases were
primarily for Mexico (12,000 MT, including decreases of 500 MT), Japan
(7,100 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), South Korea (2,200 MT,
including decreases of 700 MT), Colombia (1,700 MT, including decreases of
200 MT), and the Dominican Republic (1,600 MT, including 100 MT switched
from Mexico). Exports of 37,000 MT were down 2 percent from the previous
week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were
primarily to Mexico (16,400 MT), Japan (5,100 MT), South Korea (3,700 MT),
China (3,400 MT), and Canada (1,900 MT).
